What is Web-Exposed?

The ultimate plug-in!

Web-Exposed is a Firefox plug-in enabling users to get additional information about each Web site they visit. From SEO to security and everything in between, the Web-Exposed sidebar offers users a clear image of each site including information about the site owner, the nature of the site, its traffic and monetization, and to which other sites or categories it might be associated with.

How does it work?

Every time a user browses to a new page, Web-Exposed will check to see if it recognizes the site. If the site is not recognized, Web-Exposed will analyze the page and issue several requests for information from other sources including Google, Alexa, and WHOIS. Once all the data is gathered, Web-Exposed will transfer it to our servers for further inspection and analysis to generate information like reputation and site worth. All the relevant data is stored locally per domain to optimize the process. For more information, check out our FAQ.
